A Little About Me
From the time I was very young I was drawn to stories, movies, books, and pictures about the Divine. I wanted to understand the ways people sought and encountered something larger than themselves.
When I saw Debbie Reynolds in The Singing Nun, I decided that I would grow up to be a famous singer/actor (who was also a nun!) and inspire people on their journey to find God. Oh, youth!
While I never followed through on becoming a nun, I did pursue dancing, singing, and acting - eventually majoring in musical theater at NYU. Fortunately for the theater-going public, I discovered I wasn’t destined for fame. That realization - that I was not meant for the life I imagined - was the true beginning of my spiritual journey.
Over the years, that journey has led me to work in different churches teaching sacred music. I found Christian contemplative practices and Sufi poetry that aided my deep listening to my own soul. I have been shaped by contemporary teachers like Cynthia Bourgeault, Richard Rohr, Thich Nhat Hanh, Richard Rolheiser and others who point to the Sacred not as an idea to grasp but as a Presence to encounter.
And now, I offer others what was offered to me: a quiet space to pause, listen, and discover what’s already unfolding within you.
There’s no right time to begin this kind of work. You don’t need to have it all figured out - or even to know exactly what you’re seeking. All you need is a sense of longing. A nudge toward something deeper. A whisper of “more”.
